PACIFIC ALBACORE

NORTH

In 2008 the catch of North Pacific albacore totaled 73,000 tonnes.
North Pacific albacore can be found from the Revillagigedo Islands (Mexico) to the Gulf of Alaska in the east and from the Equator to 45° north in the Western Pacific.

SOUTH

In 2008 the catch of South Pacific albacore was 52,000 tonnes.
South Pacific albacore can be found from Australia to South America, and from the Equator to 45ºS – with the highest concentrations found in the west.
