SKIPJACK
The 2008 catch of Atlantic skipjack was roughly 149,000 tonnes or 46% of the region's total catch.
Atlantic Skipjack can be found throughout the Atlantic between 45°N and 35°S.
Atlantic Skipjack is divided into an eastern and western stock – with the eastern stock providing most of the catch.

YELLOWFIN
The 2008 catch of Atlantic yellowfin was about 107,000 tonnes or 33% of the region's total catch.
Found in the East between Portugal and South Africa, in the West between the Gulf of Mexico and southern Brazil

BIGEYE
The 2008 catch of Pacific bigeye was roughly 70,000 tonnes or 21% of the region's total catch.
Atlantic Bigeye can be found throughout the Atlantic between 50ºN and 45ºS.
The size of Atlantic Bigeye ranges from 3kg (6.5 lbs) to 50kg (110 lbs) – depending on the fishing method used.

ALBACORE
The 2008 Atlantic albacore catch was 39,000 tonnes.
Found throughout the Atlantic between 60°N and 50°S.
Large fisheries near the Bay of Biscay, Azores, Canary Islands and off southern Africa.
