Description

ISSF prepared this position statement in October 2020 for consideration at the 94th session of the Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission (IATTC), which will take place November 30-December 4, 2020. The statement covers topics in these categories: tuna conservation; fish aggregating devices (FAD) management; harvest strategies; monitoring, control, and surveillance; and compliance.

The statement also includes ISSF’s top “asks” or requests of IATTC, along with a list of ISSF’s global priorities for all RFMOs.

A Spanish translation of the statement is available.
