ISSF position statements raise issues and recommendations for Regional Fisheries Management Organizations (RFMOs) to consider in their policymaking discussions and decisions.

Our advocacy team prepares and circulates our statements in advance of major tuna RFMO meetings. Some statements are available in several languages, depending on RFMO region. If you would like to request an older version of a statement, write to us at [email protected].

Description

The Skippers Workshop team has developed posters for purse-seine fishers. The posters show “best practices” for handling sharks, manta rays, and sea turtles that are incidentally caught. The posters are based on the best practices for bycatch-handling guidebook produced by Poisson et al. 2012.

This is a Korean translation of a best-practices poster for purse-seine fishers used in ISSF Skippers Workshops. The poster is also available in Chinese, English, French, Indonesian, and Spanish.
