ISSF prepared this position statement in June 2022 for consideration at the 100th session of the Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission (IATTC), which will take place August 1-5, 2022. The statement covers topics in these categories: tuna conservation; fish aggregating device (FAD) management; harvest strategies; monitoring, control, and surveillance; bycatch and sharks; compliance; and capacity management.

The statement also includes ISSF’s top “asks” or requests of IATTC, along with a list of ISSF’s global priorities for all RFMOs.
