Dr. Ana Parma has broad experience in fisheries, including tuna, and is widely recognized as an international expert. Since 2015, she has been the Principal Investigator at the National Council for Scientific and Technological Research (CONICET) in Argentina, where she previously was a Research Scientist.

She also has held research positions at the International Pacific Halibut Commission (IPHC), Seattle, and the Instituto de Biología Marina y Pesquera “Alte. Storni,” Río Negro, Argentina.

Dr. Parma recently served on the Global Board of Directors and Science Council of The Nature Conservancy and was a board member of the Center for the Study of Marine Systems, CENPAT-CONICET. She also has been on multiple fisheries advisory panels and technical committees.

She has authored more than 100 reviewed journal articles and book chapters and presented 10 keynote talks at science conferences. She has a Ph.D. (Fisheries) from the University of Washington, Seattle.
