Echosounder buoy

A type of buoy attached to many FADs (100% in many fleets) that are equipped with an echosounder device that estimates the amount of fish biomass present underneath. This allows the skipper or manager to make decisions about what areas to visit in order to have access to FADs with high tuna biomass.
