Slender tuna (Allothunnus fallai)

A southern hemisphere species distributed between 20° and 50°S. It is a temperate species that often appears in Subantarctic waters of the Southern Ocean (Graham and Dickson, 2004). Juveniles are found between 20° and 35°S at surface temperatures ranging from 19 to 24°C, while adults tend to inhabit more southern and cooler waters. Spawning is thought to take place between October and December.
